Muthoot finance a Reality

Hello to everyone who are planning to take finance against Gold.I would like to share some realities about the finance against gold.The facts are:
1.The rate is decided by the muthoot itself there is no standard for this ..i.e. Rs.11000 approximately not the current market rate.
2.You loose your dignity when you ask for loan against gold as the executives are told that people who come here needy and you can treat them as you like.
3.Your precious/valuables are rated in such a fashion as that you will feel pitty about yourself.
4.if you ask them why the rate is very low..the answer will be "why don't you sell it and get the money.
This was a real experience felt by me when i visited the Muthoot finance(Chandralok,Shahdra,Delhi-93) against my wife's Gold necklace; when i felt some short of money to submit the allotment money for my Plot.
